Functional while serving as a decoration to any dining table or designer shelf.
The Pepper Bird is a registered Danish quality pepper grinder. The design piece is a unique and iconic wooden sculpture made out of mahogany, ash, maple, and walnut. The Pepper Bird was first produced in the late 1950s by self taught designer Sven Erik Tonn-Petersen (TonnP).
The Salt Egg is a Danish salt cellar made out of ash wood. The drawings for the egg are nearly fifty years old, due to problems with shaping at the time, the egg was never produced … until now. The idea was to create a simple and recognisable design icon. We agree that this has been achieved!
Sven Erik Tonn-Petersen (1925-2004) was an inventor who created a wide range of high quality designs under the name of Tonn-P. He had great “appetite for life” and lived a festive, adventurous life filled with humour and joy. TonnP designs are harmonic and functional incorporating many different sorts of materials such as wood, plastic and metal.
