One of the biggest interior design trends at the moment is green living with plants.

Plants and vases give a green twist for any contemporary home when combining different materials and colors.

Lucie Kaas have launched a multifunctional planter in collaboration with the Danish design duo, Nordvink.  Anne Nørbjerg and Sanne Kyed are the two designers behind Nordvink. Their planter GRO is based on the interaction between heavy, handmade ceramics and light, mouth blown glass.

GRO has several functions, as it both can be used as a plant holder but also as a small greenhouse allowing for seeds to sprout and plants to grow. The glass bottom also serves as a design conscious method to give plants nourishment fitting perfectly into the planter’s bottom with built-in water holes.

Anne Nørbjerg and Sanne Kyed about the design: “GRO is about a holder that deserves to be used as decoration even when it is not being used as a planter. The materials and colors have been carefully selected to create a harmonious exchange with the green colors of the plants.”

The decorative and functional GRO series will come in two different sizes and three matte colors. You can choose from the following colors: gun metal, laurel oak and red mahogany. Each planter and green house is unique – use alone or together with the other items from the collection combining colors and sizes for a small decorative display.

GRO Home Decor is available in Australia and New Zealand exclusively thru Urbaani Homewares.  Contact us today to learn more.
